今日11月4日ユネスコ憲章記念日と制定されています。
「UNESCO」の名前は正式名称「United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization」の頭文字にから来ていて、
日本語では「国際連合教育科学文化機関」といい、国連の専門機関である。本部はフランスのパリにあり、教育・科学・文化の発展と推進を目的としている機関です。
最近では、風流踊が無形文化遺産に登録される方向で進んでいるそうで、他にも和食なども登録されています。
歴史の長い日本で生活する一人として、この国の文化を探してみるのもいいですね。
