温柔敦厚(おんじゅうとんこう)とは
孔子が儒教の基本的な古典で、中国最古の詩集である
「詩経しきょう」の教化の力を評した語四字熟語で
「温和で優しく、品行方正で誠実な」
という意味の言葉です。温かみのある態度や人間関係を大切にし
誠実さや正直さを持ち合わせていることを表します。
人間関係やコミュニケーションにおいて、
他者を思いやりのある態度で接することができる性格や人柄を指します。
